Good Male Flat Iron?

I'm looking to buy a 1/2" flat iron, my hair is naturally curly or wavy and it's a total pain to try to style it. Right now it's very short and spiky, and I'm planning on growing it out and straightening it so it sweeps over my forehead, then I'm planning to use wax or hairspray to keep it from frizzing (though not to the extent that it's helmet head), but I need some help finding flat irons that work.

3/4" seems too large to work with my hair right now, either that or the flattening iron I purchased that's 3/4" is crappy, as it's some no-name brand I got from Rite-Aid for $20. When I do use it, my hair never seems to stay straight and it's an absolute nightmare.

I'm totally open to advice and recommendations; please help. Thanks!

Question: People said Ralph Nader stole the election from Gore.
Ok,
1. Gore lost his OWN home state of Tennessee (very pathetic).
2. He failed to challenge the Supreme Court rulings (also pathetic).
3. He just did not have it. He was not that smart at all.

On the other hand, I know as a fact working for Public Citizen Interest Group that people who vote for Ralph Nader vote for their conscience (based on their intellect and judgement of what is righteous and what is wrongful). So how can people be stealing votes from the sleazy Democratic presidential nominees?

Plus, if a vote for Ralph Nader is a wasted vote, then

1. in 2000 there would be 50,999,000 (all for Gore, all down the drain) wasted votes versus George W Bush's 50 million.
2. in 2004 there would be 59,028,444 (all for Kerry, all in a wasted dumpster) wasted votes versus George W Bush's 62,040,610 winning votes.

Those who voted for Gore and Kerry, thanks to you all, your votes were wasted anyways.
