What is up with racism today?
Ok, so I was looking through some past questions, and found someone asking about the video game "Resident Evil 5" which some people found racist because you're a caucasian shooting blacks in Haiti. Look at these EXCELLENT answer.

"I'm Black and I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil series. I've played through each of the main games (RE 0 - RE 4) multiple times, and as such, I think I can speak with a little authority on the subject. So what I have to say is this...
I could see how people who are unfamiliar with the series might get an unsavory first impression of the game at first glance, especially considering all of the recent racism towards Black people. However, I emphasize the "unfamiliar" part. Unless they know what's actually going on, it may and can be misconstrued as something racially motivated, particularly in today's almost overly politically correct society.
But in short, I personally don't think RE 5 is racist. And nobody else I've talked to, Black, White or otherwise, thinks it's racist either. In every RE game leading up to RE4, the main characters were killing droves upon droves of White zombies. The collective was silent. And as you already mentioned, RE4 took place in Spain (although Capcom still denies it), so Leon fought and killed Spanish people. No one, not even Hispanics/Latinos, had anything to say (not to my knowledge, anyway). From what I heard, RE5 takes place in Haiti, which is essentially a nation full of Black people. I wonder, who else do these people expect Chris to fight?
As I said before, I'm sure most of the people who are complaining about this don't even know what this series is about. All they see or have heard about is some American White guy killing Black people. Nevermind that Chris is only attacking and killing in self defense because the people are infected with something that makes them want to murder him on sight. I want to ask these people, "So...what - if Chris was a minority, the killing would somehow be acceptable?"
My opinion? These people who are complaining need to get down from their soapboxes and actually find out what these games are all about before taking things out of context and jumping to conclusions. Just my two cents."
So why do people ONLY think it's racist when a white man kills black men, but NEVER the other way around?
Xcvc, will someone do anything about it? Probably doesn't fall under the racist category cause it doesn't insult a minority.
